"THE LIFE I ONCE HAD KNOWN"- NOW AVAILABLE!

What drives humans to create? Is it ego? Pride? A fight against our own mortality? An attempt to make sense of our existence? All are valid possibilities, but not the possibilities that drove the creation of this album. No, this was created through a subconscious desire to punish one's self. Recorded, and overdubbed alone, solo-style with a digital 8-track mixer, this album contains drums, vocals, bass, guitar, piano, accordion, trumpet, clarinet, harmonica, keyboard, organ, bongos, xylophone and more. Were it not for the few musical interactions from violinist Nathan Tulenson, it is quite possible Brett may have become lost in the ever expanding musical landscape, grown a hermit like beard, never to be heard from again.

Lucky for you that was not the case. Check out some of the tracks on Myspace, and then pick up the special priced, custom packaged album at the webstore!

"WHITE RABBIT"- FREE MP3 DOWNLOAD IN MEDIA

Scientists have concluded that stages N3 and N4 are the deepest forms of sleep, characterized by no eye movement or muscle activity. It was during such an N4 sleep occasion in April when my phone rang. It was 4:20am. It was Jason, a co-worker and friend. As my bodily functions slowly restored, my mind began racing of the terrible ramifications of this early call. A car accident? An emergency room visit? "Huhhello..." I grunted. "Brett.. Dood!" Jason shouted. "I was sitting here and it just hit me! You totally need to cover Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit, it would be frickin' hilarious!" He continued with his unbridled AM exuberance, "You totally need to have sound effects at the beginning and... oh man, it would just be funny to hear you, of all people, to do a trippy song like that, I mean, if you can sing it." I pressed "end call" and hoped to be in stage N3 soon.

Recorded with overdubs on a Sunday in May, I put down a drumtrack, bass, some guitars, piano, a lot of reverb and a robot voice changer. Follow The Rabbit
